NPS Central login: PFRDA has started NPS Central (npscentral.in), one website for all NPS accounts. You log in with your registered mobile number, date of birth and OTP. You do not need your PRAN.
It covers all three record-keeping agencies (Protean, KFintech, CAMS), so central government NPS staff can check contributions and download statements in one place.

What is NPS Central?
NPS Central is a single website for the National Pension System. Until now, each subscriber had to use the website of their own CRA: Protean (NSDL), KFintech or CAMS.
NPS Central puts all three on one screen. PFRDA says it was built and is run jointly by the three CRAs. Your money, PRAN and Pension Fund do not change.
How do I log in to NPS Central without PRAN?
- Open www.npscentral.in and click Sign in.
- Enter the mobile number registered with your NPS account and your date of birth.
- Enter the OTP sent to that mobile.
- Your dashboard opens. It shows your NPS account(s) and investments, whichever CRA holds them.
If the OTP does not come, your mobile number in NPS records is probably old. Central government staff should ask their DDO/PAO (nodal office) to update it, or use the CRA helpline below.
What can central government employees do on NPS Central?
- See all your NPS accounts and investment value in one dashboard.
- Track contributions: check that the monthly employee and Government shares have been credited.
- Download your NPS statement (useful for income tax and for checking missing months).
- Update profile details.
- Compare schemes: returns and charges of Pension Funds.
- Raise a complaint through the PFRDA Pension Sahayak link.
Some services are not there yet. PFRDA says change of investment choice or Pension Fund, loan against NPS, SIP mandates, NPS Vatsalya, corporate onboarding, Re-KYC and Tier II services will be added in phases. No dates have been given.
How much NPS should be credited every month? (worked examples)
For central government NPS subscribers, you pay 10% of Basic Pay + DA and the Government pays 14% (PFRDA). DA is 60% from 1 January 2026. Use these numbers to check your NPS Central statement.
| Basic Pay | DA 60% | Basic + DA | Your 10% | Govt 14% | Total a month |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ₹18,000 (Level 1) | ₹10,800 | ₹28,800 | ₹2,880 | ₹4,032 | ₹6,912 |
| ₹35,400 (Level 6) | ₹21,240 | ₹56,640 | ₹5,664 | ₹7,930 | ₹13,594 |
| ₹56,100 (Level 10) | ₹33,660 | ₹89,760 | ₹8,976 | ₹12,566 | ₹21,542 |
Example: a Level 6 employee on ₹35,400 Basic has Basic + DA of ₹56,640. The monthly credit should be ₹5,664 (own) + ₹7,930 (Government) = ₹13,594. If a month is missing on NPS Central, take it up with your DDO/PAO.
Want your exact pay? Use our 7th CPC salary calculator or the 7th CPC pay matrix. DA updates are on the DA hike tracker.
Is NPS Central for UPS subscribers too?
The Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) runs under the NPS framework, and UPS members also have a PRAN. PFRDA’s statement does not list any UPS-only service on NPS Central yet. For UPS payout rules see our UPS guide and the UPS vs NPS comparison.
Do I still need the old CRA websites?
PFRDA has not said the old CRA websites will close. For now you can use either. For services not yet on NPS Central (for example change of Pension Fund), use your CRA site or your nodal office.
