8thpaycalculator.in/ is an independent, privately run information website. It is not owned, operated, endorsed or funded by the Government of India, any State Government, the 8th Central Pay Commission, or any ministry or department, including the Department of Expenditure, DoPT, DoPPW, the Ministry of Defence or the Railway Board. Names of government bodies, schemes and commissions are used only to identify the subject matter.
For official information, always refer to the relevant government website, Gazette notification or Office Memorandum.
Calculators give estimates only
- All results from our calculators (salary, pension, DA/DR, arrears, HRA, 8th CPC projections and others) are estimates for general guidance. They are not a pay fixation, pension sanction or entitlement.
- No 8th Pay Commission pay matrix, fitment factor or implementation date has been notified. Any 8th CPC figure on this site is a scenario based on assumptions that we state on the page.
- Actual pay and pension depend on your service record and on rules that a calculator may not capture: pay protection, stepping up, deputation, MACP, special allowances, recoveries, income tax and other deductions.
- Before taking any decision, verify your figures with your Drawing and Disbursing Officer (DDO), Pay and Accounts Office (PAO), Head of Office, or pension disbursing authority (bank/CPAO/CGDA, as applicable).
News and updates
We report news based on official sources wherever possible and label every item as Confirmed, Proposed, Reported or Estimate (see our Editorial Policy). Proposals, union demands, media reports and our estimates are not government decisions and may never be implemented. Rules and rates change; a page may be out of date by the time you read it. Check the “Last verified” date and the linked official source.
