On Thursday 22 and Friday 23 October 2026. The notice (No. 35/14/2026-VST/8CPC, dated 21 September 2026) was signed by Director Anand Kumar Jha Confirmed.

  • Who could apply: organisations, institutions, associations and unions of central government employees who want to meet the Commission in Mumbai.

Railway field visit Reported: PTI and Mint report that the Railway Board wrote to AIRF and NFIR about a Commission visit to Central Railway units in Mumbai (CSMT). The plan includes track maintainers (keymen, patrolmen), pointsmen, signal staff, a control room, a workshop and a locomotive ride with running staff. This is not on 8cpc.gov.in.

Who can meet the 8th Pay Commission, and how?

Each visit notice invites organisations, associations and unions, not individual employees. They must send an online request before the last date. The Commission then tells them the slot and venue.

The Mumbai notice asks for the Unique Memo ID. You get it only after filing a memorandum. As the memorandum window closed on 15 June 2026, in practice only bodies that already filed one can ask for a meeting.

If you are an individual employee or pensioner, take your point to your union or pensioners’ association. They speak for you at these meetings. See what the staff side has asked for on our 8th Pay Commission union demands page.
