8thpaycalculator.in/ is an independent website that helps Central Government employees, defence personnel and pensioners understand their pay, pension and allowances. We build free calculators, keep trackers of DA/DR and the 8th Pay Commission, and explain official orders in plain language, with a link to the source every time.
We are not a government website. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or funded by the Government of India, the 8th Central Pay Commission, or any ministry, department, staff union or association.
Why this site exists
Pay and pension rules are spread across Pay Commission reports, CCS rules and hundreds of Office Memorandums. At the same time, every pay commission brings a flood of rumours about fitment factors and dates. Our aim is simple: help readers work out their own numbers, and show clearly which figures are official and which are not yet decided.

Who runs the site
The site is run by the 8thpaycalculator.in/ Editorial Team. The team researches, writes and checks every page and maintains the calculators. We are a small independent team, not a news agency or a government body.
How we work
- Official sources first. We rely on orders and releases from the Department of Expenditure, DoPT, DoPPW, PIB, the Labour Bureau, PFRDA, CGHS, the Railway Board, the Ministry of Defence and 8cpc.gov.in, and we link to them.
- Clear labels. Every update is marked Confirmed, Proposed, Reported or Estimate, so you know whether a figure is final.
- Tested calculators. Calculators follow the official rules, show their assumptions and are rechecked whenever the rules change.
- Dated pages. Each page shows when it was last verified.
